WristBanner Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026
Application: WristBanner for Wear OS (pl.diner.wristbanner)

1. Who is responsible for your information

The controller responsible for WristBanner is Michał Diner Software Development, publishing the application under the name Diner-Software. In this policy, “we” means that controller.

For privacy questions, requests concerning your information, or application support, contact dinermichal@gmail.com. Please identify WristBanner in your message. You do not need to send your banner text or payment-card details to ask a privacy question.

2. Your messages and settings

WristBanner turns text into a scrolling display on your watch. It stores your current message, saved messages and scenes, scene order, display settings, and privacy choices in the application's local storage so you can use them again. Availability of saved-content features depends on whether Pro is unlocked.

WristBanner does not operate an account system or a server for your messages. It does not upload messages, saved scenes, or favorites to a developer-operated service. Our custom diagnostic events do not include message text, scene contents, typed characters, or dictated audio.

You can edit your message and remove saved content in the app. Clearing application data or uninstalling removes its local app data. WristBanner provides no cloud backup or synchronization service. The application disables Android automatic backup; device transfer and other operating-system services remain controlled by your device provider.

Editing and displaying a banner do not require a phone companion or network connection. Purchases, restoration, system input services, and optional diagnostics may use a network connection.

3. Keyboard and voice input

WristBanner opens the watch's system input interface when you enter text. That interface may offer a keyboard, handwriting, or dictation, depending on your device. WristBanner receives the resulting text; it does not record audio or request microphone access itself.

Your chosen input or speech-recognition provider may process what you type or say, including through an online service. This depends on the provider and your device settings and is governed by that provider's privacy information. Our diagnostics do not include the returned text or an audio recording.

4. Optional reports to Google

You can use WristBanner, including purchased Pro features, without diagnostic sharing. On a new installation all three optional purposes are off. Collection is enabled only after your choice is saved. You can choose separately:

Choice Information and purpose
Crash reports Google Firebase Crashlytics receives technical crash reports and sanitized error reports to help repair faults. These can include stack traces, relevant app state, device/app details, and installation identifiers.
Usage statistics Google Analytics for Firebase helps us understand feature use. It receives fixed interaction and purchase-flow events, app/session information, installation identifiers, approximate location inferred from IP addresses, and automatically recorded purchase information such as product and price.
Speed and smoothness Google Firebase Performance Monitoring helps diagnose slow startup, display and network operations. It can receive timings, resource-use information, device/app details, installation identifiers, and IP-derived country information.

Supporting Firebase components, including Installations, Sessions, and Remote Config, may process technical information needed to operate these services. Performance Monitoring can use Remote Config to control diagnostic sampling. WristBanner does not use it to personalize your banner content.

Our custom events use predefined categories rather than free-form content. Custom purchase events do not attach receipts, purchase tokens, payment-card details, or account identifiers. Automatic SDK collection is separate from these custom events, as described above.

WristBanner has no advertising features and does not request the Android Advertising ID. Advertising storage, advertising user-data processing, and advertising personalization are denied in its Analytics configuration.

Google describes its processing in the Firebase privacy information, Analytics data disclosures, and Google Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases and restoring Pro

Pro is an optional one-time purchase processed by Google Play. Google Play displays the price and handles checkout under its terms and privacy information.

The app receives purchase information from Google Play to verify entitlement, acknowledge the purchase, and restore access. Verification happens on the watch. WristBanner stores a local indication of verified entitlement so previously confirmed access can remain available offline. Purchase tokens can be handled in memory and sent to Google Play for acknowledgement; they are not stored in WristBanner's entitlement file or included in its custom analytics events. The app does not receive payment-card details.

With Usage statistics enabled, purchase-related analytics may also be collected as described in section 4. Disabling diagnostics does not prevent purchasing, restoring, or using Pro.

6. Changing your choice and deleting data

Open Settings → Privacy & diagnostics to change or withdraw your choices. Select Continue without sharing to turn off all optional purposes. Refusing or withdrawing consent does not reduce Free or Pro access.

Withdrawal stops new app-controlled reporting for that purpose. The app clears local Analytics state on withdrawal, requests deletion of unsent crash reports when crash reporting is disabled, and stops its performance traces. When the last active purpose is withdrawn, it requests deletion of its Firebase installation. Some SDK changes take full effect after an app restart.

Withdrawal does not immediately recall information already transmitted or in transit. Uninstalling does not automatically delete reports already received by Google. Server-side deletion follows each service's process. Deleting a Firebase installation does not by itself delete every Analytics identifier or every unrelated record.

For a request concerning information processed by us, contact the address in section 1. Describe your request and enough context to locate the relevant information. Because WristBanner has no account and uses installation-based diagnostics, we may be unable to associate a report with your name or email. We will explain what can be located and any necessary additional information. We do not require unnecessary identification information.

There is no WristBanner account to delete. Remove local content in the app or clear/uninstall it. Google Play account and purchase records are managed by Google under its policies.

7. How long information is kept

Information Retention
Local messages, scenes, settings, privacy choices and cached Pro status Until changed or removed, local app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled.
Crashlytics crash information and associated identifiers Google's published service retention is 90 days before deletion begins.
Performance diagnostics Google's published retention is 30 days for IP-associated events and 60 days for installation-associated and de-identified performance data before deletion begins.
Analytics User/event-level information is retained for the analysis window configured in the Analytics property. That window is determined by the time needed to compare releases and investigate recurring usage patterns. Expiry and deletion follow the property's retention controls; aggregated reports can remain beyond that window.
Firebase installation data after a deletion request Google's documented removal process for associated information can take up to 180 days; scope depends on the service and identifier.
Support correspondence you choose to send As long as needed to resolve the request, follow up on the issue, and maintain records necessary for legal obligations or claims. Information no longer needed for these purposes is deleted.

See Firebase retention, installation deletion, and Analytics retention controls. These periods do not mean that consent withdrawal instantly deletes previously received data.

8. Legal grounds, recipients, and international processing

Where European data-protection law applies, optional diagnostics rely on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Local processing needed to display your chosen content and processing needed to provide or restore purchased features are necessary to provide the service you request. Support correspondence is processed under our legitimate interest in helping users, or to perform the purchase/service contract when the request concerns it. Records required by law are processed to meet the applicable legal obligation.

The diagnostic recipients are Google Firebase, Google Analytics, and their service providers under the applicable terms. Google Play and the system input provider process information for their own services as explained in their privacy information. We do not use WristBanner diagnostics for advertising.

Google services can process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Applicable safeguards can include European Commission adequacy decisions and contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, as described in the Firebase processing terms and Google's international-transfer information. Ask the privacy contact about the safeguards relevant to processing on our behalf.

9. Security and your rights

Local information is kept in Android app-private storage. Google documents encrypted transport for the Firebase and Analytics data described here. No storage or transmission method removes every security risk.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a portable copy of personal information, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. You may complain to the data-protection authority in your place of habitual residence or work, or where you consider an infringement occurred.

Contact the address in section 1 to exercise these rights. We will respond within the applicable legal time limit. We do not use WristBanner information to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on you.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if the app's data practices change. The version available through the Google Play listing and within WristBanner will show its update date. If a new optional purpose requires consent, the app will ask before enabling it.
